Assign it an issue. Review the pull request it opens.

It does the work a teammate would, then asks for review.

You assign Northwick an issue the same way you would assign it to a colleague. It checks out your repository in a sandbox, reads the code around the problem, and posts a short plan on the issue before it changes anything. If the plan is wrong, you can say so before there is a diff to argue with.

Then it makes the change, runs the test and lint commands you already use, and fixes what it broke. When it's done it opens a pull request that says what changed and why. It never pushes to your main branch and it never merges its own work.

We're building it for small teams because that's what we are. There's no sales call, and Team starts at four seats. It isn't finished, so we're letting teams in from the waitlist a few at a time and fixing what doesn't work before we open it up.

What's in the first version

  Assign it a GitHub or GitLab issue and it opens a normal PR on its own branch.

• Plans before it edits

  Posts its plan on the issue first, so you can redirect it early.

• Your test commands

  Runs the same test, lint and build steps your CI already runs.

• Fresh sandbox per task

  Each task runs in a new container with no access to production secrets.

• Follows your conventions

  Reads your existing code and config to match naming, layout and formatting.

• Spending limits

  Set a monthly budget per repository and it stops when it reaches it.

What it will cost

Northwick hasn't launched. Solo Pro will be $25 a month and Team will be $20 per seat per month, with a minimum of four seats. Team is free while it's in early access. We'll announce the rest before launch.
