Terms
These are pre-launch terms for the waitlist and early access. We'll update them before anyone is billed, and we'll email account holders before changes take effect.
1. These terms
These terms cover your use of Northwick: this website, the Northwick apps for GitHub and GitLab, and the service that runs tasks. By using Northwick you agree to them. If you use it for a company or team, you confirm you're allowed to agree on its behalf.
2. Early access
Northwick is unfinished. During early access it is free, and it may change, break or lose task history without warning. We may add or remove features, or end early access. We won't move you onto a paid plan without your agreement, and we'll give at least 30 days' notice before billing starts.
3. Your account
You need to be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live. Keep your login details safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account and your team's seats, and for keeping your account details accurate.
4. Your code and what Northwick writes
You keep ownership of your code. Code Northwick writes in your repositories belongs to you as well, and we claim no rights to it.
You give us permission to access, copy and process your repositories only as needed to run the tasks you ask for and to keep the service working. Only connect repositories you have the right to share with us. How we handle that data is in our privacy policy.
5. Review before you merge
Northwick makes mistakes. Its pull requests can contain bugs or security problems, or fail to do what the issue asked. You're responsible for reviewing and testing its work before you merge or deploy it.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Northwick to:
- build malware or attack systems you don't own or have permission to test;
- break out of a sandbox, or reach other customers' data or our infrastructure, except as described in our security policy;
- resell access, or share an account beyond the seats you have;
- deliberately overload the service.
7. Paid plans
Solo Pro will cost $25 per month and includes 200 tasks a month. Team will cost $20 per seat per month, with a minimum of four seats, and includes 200 tasks per seat a month shared across the team. Solo Free includes 20 tasks a month on public repositories. Unused tasks don't roll over. Prices don't include tax where tax applies. Plans are billed monthly in advance. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't refund partial months unless the law requires it. We'll give at least 30 days' notice of any price change.
8. Ending
You can stop using Northwick at any time by removing the app and closing your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why unless the law or a security issue prevents it. If we shut Northwick down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and refund any time you've paid for and not used.
9. No warranty
Northwick is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise it will be available all the time, free of errors, or right about your code.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
11. Changes
When we change these terms we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll email account holders at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using Northwick after that, the new terms apply.
